Mission

The Office of Sponsored Projects, housed within the Office of Research and Economic Development, oversees Mississippi State University's external sponsored programs as the University's authorized signatory for grants, contracts, and other sponsored agreements.

OSP coordinates interaction between the University, research faculty, and Sponsors by providing services such as proposal review and endorsement, agreement negotiation, award acceptance and authorization, and limited post-award research administrative services. The staff is responsible for ensuring that all research proposals and projects comply with university, federal, and sponsor regulations, policies, and procedures.
